A burst of sun makes all the difference

When I was called on to photograph British motocross champion Brad Anderson at a cold and chilly race circuit near Doncaster, the weather forecast predicted the worst. OK, perhaps NOT the actual worst (ie hurricane, hail, snow, fog etc). But a grey, windy and wet day with no chance of sun.

So with the Elinchrom Rangers set up to provide some nice dramatic lighting, the shoot got underway and after a short time, the shots were in the bag. Nice big files from the Phase One 645 DF and nice light from the Rangers and big softbox combo.

Then just as everyone was about ready to go home, the sun broke through the clouds. Hastily everyone was pout back into posiitons, and that nice warm glow of the backlight from the winter sun makes a real difference.

Don't worry it's a new race bike, just throw it on the floor and sit on it!
