Wall of Death. That’s the well-known motorcycle attraction that has graced circus shows the world over for almost 100 years now. But could you do it on a bicycle? Erm… no.
You just can’t get enough speed up to stay pinned to a vertical wall. But angle it slightly, and once you’re up on the wall then you can stay there as long as your legs and fitness allows you!
It’s scary but fun, so I jumped at the chance to shoot the UK’s first ever Bomberdrome in its first ever public outing. Complete with period 1930s-style bikes! And thrill-seeking men (and a women!) who dare to ride the wall!
