Can you tell the difference between £7000-0dd worth of Leica M9 and Summilux and a free-on-contract iPhone 4S? Probably not, when you’re viewing the photos web sized. But on a real screen, there’s a big difference.
A trip to the holiday coast resort of Pattaya in Thailand saw my under-used M9 get some reportage, all-natural action. Recording everything from beautiful swaying palm trees to girls of dubious morals and everything in between.
And in case you are wondering, the shot of sun-baked couple is with the iPhone. The best camera is the one you always have with you and all that.
